The IFR welcomes all rabbis no matter their background, affiliation, denomination, or practice.

Prospective members must meet the following requirements:

  • The rabbi has been duly ordained and has received a certificate of ordination/s’michah, as well as proof of completion of study of a prescribed course of rabbinic studies. This may be in the form of transcripts or a certification letter of the completed course by a director of the rabbinic institution.

  • Letters of sponsorship from two rabbis who did not participate in the prospective member’s ordination or two Jewish career professionals.
  • Affirm your non-affiliation/association with any Messianic Jewish movement.
  • Download IFR 2010 membership packet

If you wish to join the IFR,

  • Download and complete provided application form
  • Include photocopy/scanned image of your certificate of ordination
  • Include requested transcripts/certification and sponsorship letters
  • Print and sign the affirmation statement.
